I was provided with a hotel stay at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers to facilitate my review. All thoughts are 100% honest and my own.
As you know I was invited along with a few other North Iowa Bloggers to experience the awesome tourismconnection between Clear Lake, IA and Chicago, IL. Sheraton Chicago was so gracious to provide two hotel rooms for a wild bunch of ladies.
The Sheraton is a very beautiful hotel located in the hub of amazing architecture that is Chicago. With the many amenities the hotel provides such as hotel soaps (my favorite) pool, concierge, valet parking….etc…We were invited to join the Sheraton Club!
I thought it was so nice of the Sheraton to give us access to the club lounge. it has an amazing view of Chicago and a wonderful quiet space for business, naps, tv watching…the list can go on. Along with being a wonderful place to hang out, the poppin’ bottles in the club is endless…Diet cokes and waters for days; all complimentary. Granola bars and fruit are around all day long to ease your hunger. a full breakfast is served in the morning and hors douvres…or dourves…..horis orris.. APPETIZERS are served in the evening. Just look at this pictures of the appetizers….mmmm yummy (I’m going back to the club now)
I totally noticed I did a horrible job getting photos of the Sheraton for you all… I guess I just thought you might want to see me in the club more. Fore more amazing photos please check out Donna, Jeni, Sara, Leslie, Laura, Libbey, and Beth Ann’s Blogs.
The Sheraton was very accommodating (along with my roomies) to my obsession of collecting hotel samples….(I think that may be another day, another blog post for you.) Look at what I got!
After we explored Navy Pier and took the Architectural River Tour–Bonus, the Navy Pier is an EASY walk from the Sheraton. Coming from a girl who’s fresh out of a brace…THAT IS EASY. The Sheraton is also featured on the Architecture tour, which is always fun to hear about the place you’re staying at.—wow that was a long side note. Anyway, when we got back to the hotel we of course hung out in the club and when we went back up to our rooms for our beauty rest we were greeted with voluptuous, juicy, red…Chocolate Covered Strawberries!! And Champagne, and fancy water in a fancy bottle!
It was a fun surprise to come back to. It really was exciting and fun to stay at the Sheraton Chicago for a night in Chicago. The Sheraton was so accommodating and the staff was so excited to see us! It was easy to check in and receive our room keys.
One main thing that I found very convenient was that they offer a luggage storage area for people who check out. Since we stayed Thursday night and checked out Friday morning but our flight didn’t leave until Friday night…..(er, Saturday morning,) the Sheraton offered a luggage storage so we didn’t have to lug our luggage around with us on our adventures Friday. It worked like a coat check in which they tagged our luggage and gave us receipts. At the end of the day when we were ready to pick up our luggage it was ready to go.
I personally thought this was great because I had an experience in Italy where we needed to check out of our hotel but the train didn’t leave until night and we had to carry our luggage every where we went…it was very drab. way not fab.
I would have to say that I recommend the Sheraton to anyone who’s planning an over night trip to Chicago. It’s in such an awesome spot and everyone is so friendly. I hope to be back to Chicago soon (wait a minute–I won four more plane tickets so it will happen sooner than I think!)
