Water does have taste…and I love PUR Taste.

*I was chosen from Influenster to be a #watercritic for the PUR Faucet Mount with MAXION filter Techonogly. Influentster sent me a complimentary filter in turn for a review on my blog! All of the following opinions are 100% honest and my own

First off, can I just say how EXCITED I AM to have my very first VoxBox from Influenster! I have been working so hard on my Influensterness and I definitely received an awesome item to rave about!

I have always been a picky one when it comes to the taste of water. My husband doesn’t understand because he thinks all water tastes the same, but NO…I had to teach him a thing or two about how well water tastes different from City water…from…bottled water at the store, and even water in Italy!

When I first moved out on my own I bought bottled water constantly….My go-to water would be either Fiji or Evian, ya know, that good stuff. Soon enough I realized buying water was costly and I wanted to find a more financial, eco-friendly alternative. I turned to an 11 cup pitcher system…That was great and all but I would always forget (How? I don’t know, maybe I am to lazy,) to put more water in the pitcher before I put it back in the refrigerator. Then…..I met the PUR Faucet Mount.

Isn’t it pretty? I was so excited to get it hooked up and rolling! I opened that bad boy up and started to read the instructions. They must send PUR all over the world because there are many beautiful languages on the owners manual. I will admit after I tried the first step in the instructions my heart was sad.

IMG_31611) Remove your original aerator and it’s washer. Use a rubber jar opener if aerator is difficult to remove.

Now, our home is old. I don’t know when the last time was the aerator on the faucet was removed but it was stuck. STUCK TIGHT. I don’t know what a rubber jar opener is, so I clearly don’t have one. We also discovered today that we need to getIMG_3160 a tool kit. we have none. Not even a pair of pliers. Anyway, after a few days I finally had some time to go to my parent’s and get some from the garage and my big strong hubby took his hand at getting the aerator off.

After we finally got it removed, attaching the PUR Faucet mount was SO Easy. Literally, there are only like 3 steps.

1) Find the right adapter (the mount comes with 4) at screw it in to where the aerator was
2) Put the filter in the water mount attachment
3) Pop the filter on the adapter you just attached

It was just like that! so easy. We let the water run on cold for a good 5 minutes before we gave it a family taste test. Our conclusion was that “We will keep it!”

A few things I am excited about:

1) Always having cold filtered water on command (instead of going to the empty pitcher in the fridge 🙁
2) The option to “shut off” the water filter and to use regular sink water for washing dishes and cleaning
3) It tastes amazing!

  1. It looks like you got a fabulous VoxBox! That filter looks amazing and I bet the water tastes ridiculously good. I love the optional shut off feature so you can use unfiltered water to wash dishes, etc. That is a nice plus because it will ensure your filter is being saved for the important stuff. Lifting my glass to you and your new PUR filter!
